Eating a mango

in Cancun’s airport

waiting room

Loud speakers from

different gates

blasting in high pitch

simultaneously

I spread my legs

pierce his skin

with my nails

Patiently

he bleeds

in the floor

Piece by piece

I set its skin

by

my side

as the peace of

my mind

abandons me

Airport neurosis

Grotesque consumption

My financial instability

Steps & conversations

A tree of consumption

blossoming with overpriced food

& cultural goods

Hesitating

A final look

to my neighbours

I give him

the most passionate kiss

voraciously eat him

to the heart

to suck out all the wonder of a land

with trees bushes that don’t repeat

With sticky fingers

I cover my ears

try to

Omm my

way to

peace

A woodpecker

piercing my bark

Endless announcements

& corporate lies

My plane is delayed...

I surrender into the hysteria

present its still-beating heart

to the all-mighty god

of organic waste
